The Most Advanced Eye Care Technology in East Texas
Your eyes deserve precision. At West Vision, we invest in state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging technology to detect problems earlier, treat them more effectively, and give you a more comfortable experience from start to finish.
Today’s eye exams go far beyond reading an eye chart on the wall with little letters.
Modern technology allows us to see details of your eye health invisible to the naked eye — helping us detect conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration long before symptoms appear.
At West Vision, we use advanced diagnostic tools not just for accuracy, but for comfort — fewer drops, less light sensitivity, and faster results so you can get back to your day.
Meet The Tech
No surprises, comfort-first care, in East Texas!
Optos Wide-Field Retinal Imaging
We capture a high-resolution digital image of the inside of your eye, including the retina, optic nerve, macula, and blood vessels. This allows us to detect early signs of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears, internal bleeding, and other hidden conditions before you notice symptoms. Your images are stored year after year so we can track even the smallest changes over time.
Puff-Free Pressure Test Tonometer
We measure the pressure inside your eye using a precise handheld tonometer, not the outdated air puff test. This helps us detect glaucoma early by monitoring pressure that can silently damage the optic nerve. The process is quick, accurate, and far more comfortable than traditional methods.
Advanced OCT Retinal & Nerve Scanning
Optical Coherence Tomography, or OCT, provides a detailed cross-sectional scan of the retina and optic nerve. This technology allows us to detect and monitor glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and nerve fiber damage at their earliest stages. OCT helps us see beneath the surface of the retina to identify changes long before vision loss occurs.
Neurolens VR Eye Alignment Assessment
Our Neurolens VR system measures subtle eye misalignment that can contribute to chronic headaches, migraines, neck pain, and digital eye strain. This quick, noninvasive evaluation tests how your eyes work together at multiple distances and determines whether Neurolens lenses may help relieve your symptoms. It provides objective data beyond a standard vision test to uncover hidden causes of discomfort.
In-House Precision Lens Edging
Our in-office lens edging technology allows us to cut and shape your lenses to fit your frames with exceptional accuracy. By finishing lenses on site, we ensure precise alignment, improved quality control, and faster turnaround times for your glasses. This technology helps guarantee that your lenses fit perfectly and perform exactly as prescribed.
Advanced Visual Field Testing
Visual field testing evaluates your full range of vision, including your peripheral sight. This test helps detect blind spots and subtle vision changes that may indicate conditions such as glaucoma, optic nerve damage, stroke-related vision loss, or neurological issues. By measuring how well you see in all areas of your vision, we can identify problems early and monitor changes over time to protect your long-term eye health.
SmartLids Dry Eye Treatment
SmartLids therapy helps treat one of the most common causes of dry, burning, and watery eyes, blocked oil glands in the eyelids. This gentle treatment warms and stimulates the eyelids to help clear clogged glands and restore the natural oil layer of your tears. By improving tear quality and stability, SmartLids therapy can relieve irritation, reduce excessive tearing, and restore long-lasting comfort.
High-Tech Care, Human Touch
Technology means nothing without the people behind it. At West Vision, our advanced tools help our team deliver care that’s faster, more precise, and more comfortable — but it’s our team’s experience and attention that make all the difference.
