Get to Know Dr. West
Dr. Jacob West, OD
Dr. Jacob West graduated from the prestigious University of Houston College of Optometry and founded West Vision in 2014. For more than a decade, he has provided advanced medical eye care and vision services to East Texans, combining clinical excellence with a personal, family-centered approach.
With a focus on superior vision outcomes, specialty contact lens care, and high-quality optical products, Dr. West has built a practice where patients feel genuinely cared for — not rushed. In 2019, he expanded his expertise by establishing a Headache and Neurolens Clinic, dedicated to helping patients find relief from headaches, migraines, and eye strain caused by increased digital device use.
OPTOMETRIST AND FOUNDER, WEST VISION
Outside the office, Dr. West is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time with his wife and their three boys. Together, they love hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and exploring all of God’s outdoor creations.

Hey there! I'm Avrey, and you can catch me in the exam room performing the testing for your examination or out in the optical fitting you for your new pair of glasses.
I love being able to connect with patients on a personal level and help them from the beginning to the end of their time here at West Vision.
On my days off, you can catch me spending time with my family and friends. I hope to be able to help you soon!
